Orrly hears you only while you hold the key, and keeps none of it.

Who runs Orrly
Orrly is run by Ali, operating Orrly as an individual, Detroit, Michigan, United States. Write to support@orrly.com about anything on this page.
What happens when you dictate
Orrly uses your microphone only while you hold your push-to-talk key. When you let go, that clip goes to our server, which sends it to Groq to turn into text and clean up. The text comes straight back to the app, which types it where your cursor is.
We don’t store your audio, and we don’t store what you said. Our logs record the size of each clip and how long each step took, not its contents.
Who else handles your data
Groq, Inc. processes your audio and text so that Orrly can work. Nobody else receives them, and we don’t sell your data. Our servers are rented from a hosting company, which runs the machines they sit on.
What we keep
- Your email address.
- Your password, stored only as a salted hash we can’t read.
- A record of each device you’re signed in on, and when it was last used.
- Server logs, including IP addresses, which help us stop abuse and fix problems.
- Backups of the above, kept for 14 days.
Deleting your account
Write to support@orrly.com from the email on your account and we’ll delete it, along with everything tied to it. Copies in backups go within 14 days. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or to correct it.
Changes
